“Everything we do is tied to outcomes for increasing efficiency and effectiveness.”

– Dr. Amit Bahl,
Founder of Operation Stick.

The OSTICK team uses a hands-on approach to administer this programme, which has resulted in participating departments being able to raise their access accuracy by up to 96% within the first two sticks for difficult venous access patients.

“These results are possible because we empower nurses and clinicians. Our programme helps departments take control of vascular access by empowering the generalist clinician – meaning clinicians of all backgrounds and expertise levels – are well-equipped with the tools they need.”

– Matt Gibson, RN,
Co-Founder of Operation Stick.

See What Healthcare Professionals Are Saying About the Impact of Vascular Access Education

Operation Stick has helped dozens of departments and numerous clinicians increase their vascular access effectiveness through their curriculum. Here’s what healthcare providers had to say after taking part in OSTICK’s training programme: Ryan Bouley, Assistant Clinical Manager of interventional radiology nursing at Texas Children’s hospital stated,

“It’s been a huge boost in IV confidence. I can already see a great increase in successful IV sticks in difficult patients and the whole unit is feeling way more confident than they previously were. This will definitely help people who don’t have previous IV skills to feel confident as well.”

What makes OSTICK’s vascular access education programme unique is that it’s designed to empower clinicians at all levels within multiple departments. The curriculum helps healthcare professionals both develop new skills and return to the basics.

Cody Hancock, Staff Nurse at Advent Health in Hendersonville, NC stated,

“Going back and mastering the basics is important for any artist or athlete, and we nurses are no exception. The O-Stick programme is a great foundation to relearn and rethink peripheral IV access. We nurses should know and follow the guiding principles for this invasive procedure that we do dozens of times every day we go to work.”
