WEEE Compliance in Europe

Under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive and implementing regulations, when customers buy new electrical and electronic equipment from Sonosite they are entitled to:

  • Send old equipment for recycling on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis (this varies depending on the country)
  • Send the new equipment back for recycling when this ultimately becomes waste

WEEE Compliance in the UK

RoHS2 Compliance 

Sonosite complies with Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2 Directive) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (recast) in accordance with Annex I, Category 8. RoHS compliance is assured under the sole responsibility of the manufacturer.
