Jun Higuchi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Jun Higuchi Mr. Jun Higuchi became FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc.’s Chairman and CEO in September 2019, in addition to his roles as President and CEO of FUJIFILM New Development U.S.A., Inc. and FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. Mr. Higuchi joined FUJIFILM in 1991 and became involved in the medical industry in 2010 when he joined the business development group within the pharmaceutical division. In 2012, he was promoted to President and CEO of FUJIFILM Turkey, and later assumed the role of President and CEO of FUJIFILM Middle East in 2015. During his years at these divisions, Mr. Higuchi demonstrated strong leadership in managing multiple companies and successfully expanding business operations.
 

Rich Fabian, President and Chief Operating Officer

Rich Fabian Richard "Rich" Fabian joined FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. in January 2017, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. As President and Chief Operating Officer, Rich leads all aspects of the global business. Prior to joining FUJIFILM Sonosite, Rich served with Philips Healthcare for 15 years where he held various executive leadership roles, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing for North America, Vice President and General Manager of a global business unit, and Vice President of Marketing for Imaging Systems. He built high-performing teams that consistently delivered strong business results. Rich earned his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.
 

Diku Mandavia, MD, Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Officer

Diku Mandavia Diku Mandavia, MD, FACEP, FRCPC, joined Sonosite as a medical advisor in 2007 and currently serves as Chief Medical Officer for both FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. and FUJIFILM Medical USA. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Southern California and was an Attending Staff Physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles from 1998-2010. Dr. Mandavia is a founding member and past-chair of the ACEP Ultrasound Section and co-author of the ACEP Ultrasound Guidelines. He has taught thousands of physicians worldwide, lectured at over 200 medical conferences and has been awarded ACEP’s Outstanding Speaker of the Year. Dr. Mandavia has also contributed to over 90 publications and is co-director of the national Resuscitation Conference. He received his medical degree from Memorial University in Canada, completed his residency at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center and is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program.
 

Gerald Ng, Chief Financial Officer

Gerald NgAs Chief Financial Officer, Gerald "Gerry" Ng is responsible for leading FUJIFILM Sonosite Inc.’s worldwide financial planning, analysis and accounting functions, operations and service. He also plays an integral role in developing the company's financial strategy with the rest of the leadership team. Gerry most recently served as CFO for Fluke Networks and has extensive medical device industry experience as CFO for Medtronic Physio-Control and VP of Finance for Spiration. Gerry began his professional career at KPMG Peat Marwick and holds a BA from the University of Washington and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business.
 

Mike Arena, Vice President of Operations

Mike ArenaMichael "Mike" Arena joined FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. in October 2020. In his role as Vice President of Operations, Mike has responsibility for all aspects of Manufacturing and Supply chain management. Prior to joining FUJIFILM Sonosite, Mike was Senior Vice President of Global Operations with Shape Technologies Group and has worked in several industries including in the medical equipment, semiconductor capital equipment, automotive, and industrial manufacturing sectors with companies including Shape Technologies Group, Danaher Corporation, UltraClean Technology, and Modine Manufacturing. Mike received his B.S. degree in Operations and his MBA from Colorado State University.
 

Melissa Brownfield, Director, Business Operations

Melissa BrownfieldMelissa Brownfield joined FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. in January of 2017. In her current role as Director, Business Operations, Melissa is responsible for global commercial operations, which includes sales planning and strategy, forecasting, managing sales enablement tools, providing sales analytics and reporting, and managing the order management/sales administration teams. Prior to joining Sonosite, Melissa was the Sales Operations Manager at Olympus Respiratory America. Before that, Melissa started her career at KPMG. Melissa received a BS in Finance and Accounting from the University of Kansas.
 

Amanda DePalma, Vice President, Marketing

Amanda DePalmaAmanda DePalma joined FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. in December 2019 as Vice President of Marketing. In her role, Amanda has global responsibility for all marketing aspects of our business. Amanda brings over 25 years of experience in marketing, strategy, and sales at companies including Guidant, Abbott Vascular, Kimberly-Clark Healthcare, and Edwards Lifesciences. She has led high-performing teams in the development and launch of over 30 products and solutions. Amanda's healthcare experience spans multiple clinical areas with an emphasis on cardiology, vascular, surgical, anesthesiology and critical care. Amanda is passionate about fostering diversity in the workplace, and is actively involved in MedtechWomen and the AdvaMed Women's Executive Network. She received her BS in Marketing and MBA from the University of Florida.
 

Kai Fukuzawa, Vice President, Global Distributor Sales and Strategic Planning

Kai FukuzawaOn November 16, 2016, Kai Fukuzawa assumed two roles, Vice President, Global Distributor Sales for all worldwide distributor markets and Vice President, Strategic Planning. Kai was previously FUJIFILM Sonosite Inc.'s Vice President Corporate Planning and Vice President, Sales for markets including Japan, China, India, and Russia. Previously, Kai was General Manager of Medical Systems & Ultrasound Business in FUJIFILM China. He successfully established and then expanded the point-of-care business in the China market. Before that, Kai held various positions within the Corporate Planning Division of FUJIFILM Corporation as well as FUJIFILM Holdings in Tokyo, Japan for more than 11 years.
 

Peter Gray, Vice President, Sales - North America

Peter GrayPeter Gray has 32 years of sales and leadership experience for both medical capital and disposable products. Peter joined FUJIFILM Sonosite, inc. in 2008 as a Region Business Director and has held multiple roles including Zone Sales Director (East), Director of Sales (U.S.) and currently serves as Vice President, Sales for North America. Peter earned his Bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University and began his medical sales career at Sandoz Nutrition (now Nestle Health Science) then transitioned to sales roles at Steris and Philips Ultrasound.
 

Ian McDonald, Vice President, RA, QA, and Compliance Officer

Ian McDonaldIan McDonald joined FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. in August 2020 as Vice President, RA, QA, and Compliance Officer. Ian has served medical device manufacturers for more than 25 years, providing leadership on legal matters as in-house counsel, directing all quality and regulatory functions for multiple corporations, and mentoring teams on a broad range of medical device manufacturing best practices. His professional insight flows from experience leading at firms such as Genzyme Corporation, GE Medical Systems, and Viant Medical on the manufacturing of class I, II, and III devices consisting of capital equipment, instruments, implants, and single-use disposables. Ian earned his JD from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts, and his BA from Texas Tech University.
 

Greg Nesbitt, Vice President, Global High Frequency

Greg NesbittGreg Nesbitt has extensive commercial leadership experience and a compelling record of success in the pre-clinical and clinical medical imaging spaces. Greg began his career with GE Healthcare where he spent 14 years in commercial leadership and corporate roles. He also served as Vice President for Wolters Kluwer Healthcare Analytics business providing advanced analytics and consulting to the pharma and life sciences sector. Greg has spent the last 10 years as a Vice President with Philips Healthcare successfully leading large commercial teams. He most recently led Philips overall IDN commercial strategy and enterprise organization.
 

Shinji Otokuni, Vice President, Ultrasound R&D

Shinji OtokuniShinji Otokuni has 26 years of medical device research and development experience at FUJIFILM and he has helped release 20 products to the market. Shinji has a background in mechanical engineering and he joined Sonosite in 2017. Previously, Shinji was an integral part of the FUJIFILM China team for four years where he built the development function of X-ray equipment for the China market.
 

Mike Prutting, Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President - IT & Travel

Mike PruttingMike Prutting is Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President - IT & Travel for FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation. Mike is a graduate of Rutgers University and, since joining FUJIFILM in 1996, he has held progressive HR and general management roles at several divisions. He developed and successfully implemented FUJIFILM’s North American Regional HQ concept and shared services function. Mike also led the implementation of a global talent management program as well as the introduction of FUJIFILM Way Training – an effort designed to provide a common business language and methodology to FUJIFILM associates worldwide. He currently serves as a governing Body Chair for the CHRO Leadership Summit and he is a Board member of the American Heart Association, Westchester County Chapter. Most recently, Mike has been involved in the acquisitions of ten new businesses and he is playing a key role in FUJIFILM's entrance into the life sciences area.
 

Meredyth Wanink, Global Director, Human Resources

Meredyth WaninkMeredyth brings more than 15 years of experience as a human resources (HR) professional to FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. Meredyth’s experience has been built around a solid foundation of general HR practices and education in which she utilizes to drive HR initiatives around the globe. Meredyth's expertise and passion spans from her ability to drive company culture, building relationships, leadership development, succession planning, and process improvements. Meredyth has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Western Washington University.
